When we're introducing customers to Google Adwords, we'll often set the customer up in our own account first so that they can be quickly up and running and see how it works without going through the lengthy signup process. We bill them for whatever gets clicked on. Eventually, we move these customers out to their own account so they have the added benefit of tracking their adwords campaign through their analytics account, and the ability to manage their account themselves if they so wish.
If we've spent time creating a campaign, we don't want to go through the process again, so we use Google Adwords Editor to download the customers campaign and move it to their new account.
